What you need

This course requires a computer — you can browse this page on your phone, but you'll need a Mac, Windows, or Linux machine to take the course.

You need

  • A computer (Mac, Windows, or Linux)
  • A Discord account (free)
  • A Discord server you own or admin (you can create one during the course)
  • An Anthropic account (free to create — the free tier may have usage limits. If you hit them mid-course, Anthropic offers paid plans starting at $20/mo. Most students complete the course within free-tier limits, but we want you to know upfront.)

  • Prior AI or bot knowledge
  • Google Workspace or other third-party subscriptions

No programming experience needed. You will use a terminal (a text-based window where you type commands) to set things up — but your AI tutor walks you through every keystroke. You make decisions about your bot's personality and rules. Claude handles the technical parts.
No. This is a standalone mini-course. You can take it on its own. If you want to go deeper after this — connecting your bot to email, calendars, APIs — MocoPro University has free and advanced courses that go deeper.
Your AI tutor handles troubleshooting in real time. It knows every common issue — wrong tokens, missing permissions, plugin errors — and walks you through fixing them. If you hit something it can't solve, email [email protected].
Yes — while you want your bot active, Claude Code needs to be running on your machine. When you close it, the bot goes offline. The course explains this and previews hosting options for 24/7 operation.
